Dr. Alan Q. Spaid

Alan Spaid received his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 1994 from The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine. In 1990 he received a Bachelor of Animal and Veterinary Science from West Virginia University. As an experienced veterinarian, Dr. Spaid has worked in rural mixed pet/livestock practices, large metropolitan veterinary centers, and small animal emergency hospitals. He has been the owner and operator of Cacapon Veterinary Medical Center since its beginning in 1999.

Dr. Spaid is a native of Hampshire County, WV. He currently resides in the Wardensville, WV area with his beloved wife Connie and three children. He currently has two orange felines who patrol the homestead.

Alan Q. Spaid, DVM loves God first and foremost. As a follower of Jesus Christ, he operates his practice based upon Biblical principles. He will not lie or misrepresent information concerning the health of his patients. Clients rest assured knowing that Dr. Spaid will never recommend medical or surgical procedures based solely upon financial gain. Dr. Spaid will always recommend the most effective, safe and practical route to recovery or prevention of disease.

Dr. Spaid’s hobbies include in depth study of the Bible, noncanonized books, backpacking, snowboarding, and home improvement.
